Methodology & data evidence

Every number keeps its source, period and licence.

AYBARION TRADE is built on official open data. We keep each value in its published currency and classification, record where it came from, and refuse to publish what the evidence does not support.

Read directly from each dataset’s own metadata

Every card below is generated from the metadata block shipped with the data package, publisher, licence, period and last update, not typed by hand. Licences travel with each field into every export.

Coverage

What is covered, and what is not

Coverage is reported per dataset. Where a country, product or period is missing, the platform shows “No source coverage” instead of estimating it.

Checks that run before anything is published

Each package is validated when it is built. The rings below are recomputed in your browser from the loaded data, so they always describe exactly what you are looking at.

Data Passport

Where every published value comes from

Each step adds a record that cannot be changed. Select a step to see what it guarantees, or open a real passport for a live Eurostat value.

Twelve required passport fields
A Data Passport proves where a value came from and how it was processed. It does not make the underlying data correct.
Classifications

Four kinds of value, never mixed

The class of a value is preserved from source to screen. A derived value can never be shown as observed, and predictions are excluded from public tools.

Derived methods

Fixed, versioned formulas you can check

Derived values are transformations of observed values with a named method version. The worked examples below are computed live from the loaded data.

Principles

You stay in charge of decisions

AYBARION supports decisions; it does not make them. These rules apply to every page, export and answer.

Sanctions screening

Sanctions screening and personal data

Screening compares the names you enter with the official OFAC, UK and EU sanctions lists, downloaded from their publishers under their own licences. A result is a potential match for your own review, never a legal determination.

No names of listed persons

AYBARION keeps no personal data for display. When a potential match is a listed individual, results, history, entry details and the change feed show “Listed individual” with the list, programmes, countries, similarity score and a link to the official source, but not the person’s name or aliases. The text you typed is shown back to you as entered.

List versions compared

Every new download of a list is compared with the previous one by the list’s own entry ID. The first download of a list is its baseline; each later version records how many entries were added, removed or renamed, and the entries themselves (up to 5,000 per version). Individuals are counted, not named.

Every check is recorded

Each screening is kept in your company’s audit history with the names you entered, the list versions used, the matched entry IDs and where the check started. List entries are never linked to member or contact records, and PEP or adverse media screening is not offered.

Update cadence

How fresh each source is

Publisher cadence, the period held in the current snapshot and when the next refresh is expected. Freshness bars show the age of the latest observation.
